Hattiesburg police need the public's help in locating three suspects involved in a Friday night stabbing that injured three in the Hub City.
According to Hattiesburg Police Lt. Jon Traxler, around 11:30 p.m. Friday police were dispatched in front of the Residence Inn by Marriott at 116 Grand Drive to a report of a black male lying in the roadway bleeding from multiple stab wounds.
When officers found the victim, he said he had been robbed. The victim was transported to Forrest General Hospital with multiple stab wounds.
A few minutes later, another call came in, of a black male who had also been stabbed multiple times, in the parking lot of University Edge apartments at 105 Doleac drive.
When officers found the second victim, he was transported to Forrest General Hospital as well.
While officers were still on scene, a third victim showed up at Forrest General with a wound to the face, where he said he had been struck with a pistol by three unknown black males.
According to Traxler, all three victims had gone to the University Edge Apartments together to meet some people at building 9 when the attack took place.
The three incidents are connected and at this time police have no suspects in custody. The only information available from the victims was three black males, one of which had dreadlocks.
Police do believe the three victims are linked to an isolated incident that occurred at the apartment complex.
