HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - An organization that provides personalized care for aging residents is hoping you'll help them with a special Christmas mission. Home Instead Senior Care will deliver Christmas gifts to hundreds of underprivileged senior citizens in our area as part of the 6th annual, "Be a Santa to a Senior."

All you have to do is drop by one of three Christmas tree locations and pick out an ornament with the name of a senior citizen, then buy a gift and return it to Home Instead Senior Care's office at 2122 Oak Grove Road.

They'll wrap it and see that it's delivered.

Gifts will be collected through Dec. 15.

"I know that we give a lot of joy to the seniors who otherwise, would be totally forgotten, so it's a wonderful program," said Anna Edenfield, co-owner of Home Instead Senior Care.

"Be a Santa to a Senior" trees are located in Hattiesburg at the Turtle Creek Mall and Priority One Bank on Highway 98. Another tree is located in Laurel at BancorpSouth on 16th ave.
