The Pine Belt is in store for another bout of freezing temperatures over the next few days.
When thinking about the four freezing temperatures one of the four-P's is the water pipes in your home. There measures that can be taken to protect your pipes from freezing and possible bursting. On inexpensive way is to insulate them. The cost of the insulation ranges from $2 to $6 for a six foot long piece of to put around your pipes.
"It's a very easy process, said Hawke Lott, Lowe's store manager. "There's a bunch of different kinds. You have some you have to tape on the pipes and others that have self adhesive tape. It will help you put them around the pipes in just a few minutes."
If you can't get the insulation before the freezing temperatures sets in, you can let your water run at a trickle to help keep the pipes from freezing.
