Hattiesburg Police team with Ryan's Chevrolet for toy drive for homicide victims children

The Hattiesburg Police Victim's Service Unit has teamed with Ryan Chevrolet  to make Christmas a little more merrier for the children of Hattiesburg murder victims.

From now until Dec. 17, they are holding a Stuff a Truck Toy Drive at Ryan's on West Pine Street in Hattiesburg. Unwrapped toys, gift cards, stuffed animals or most anything someone would want to give as a present can be brought to Ryan's and be put in the bed of a pick-up truck in the showroom. The presents will be given out to the children at homicide victims Christmas part Dec. 22.

"Anybody that wants to give a gift can go to Ryan Chevrolet and drop off an unwrapped gift," said Lt. Jon Traxler, HPD PIO. They also can give a gift card if that would be easier for them."

Gifts can be bought for children age, one to 17. For specific ages or gender of the children, you can call the Hattiesburg Police Department and ask for the Victims Advocate Group.
