Operation Christmas Child gives people the opportunity to help the less fortunate in other nations this holiday season.
Since the Samaritan's Purse began Operation Christmas Child in 1993, more than 113 million children's lives have been touched. These children are scattered all over the globe, in over 140 counties.
Getting involved could not be easier. All you have to do is fill a shoe box with small toys, hygiene items, school supplies, or clothes and return it to a drop-off site. To find the drop-off location nearest you, click here.
Also include a $7 check to process and ship the box to its destination.
"Often this is the first gift they've ever received," said Wayne Landers, area coordinator. "And with that, it's an opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ."
National Collection Week is November 17-24.
