Oak Park students attend energy savings program

LAUREL, MS (WDAM) -

Students in 4th and 5th grades at Oak Park School in Laurel attended an energy savings program presented by Mississippi Power.

They learned the importance of using energy wisely and conserving energy to help their families save on their energy bills. The students received an energy efficiency kit to take home so they could adopt long lasting conservation behaviors.

Working with their parents, students will be able to install simple energy saving tools that will benefit the entire family.

The school program is one of Mississippi Power's new line-up of energy efficiency programs launching this year aimed at helping residential and business customers save on their energy bills.
