One person shot twice in Lamar County

LAMAR COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -  Lamar County Sheriffs responded to a shooting this evening after one person was shot twice and taken to a local hospital.

Brad Weathers of the Lamar County Sheriff's Department says, “Shortly after 4 o'clock PM today we received a 9-1-1 call about someone being shot on the 100 block of Lexington Dr. we responded to the scene and found one individual had been shot 2 times he was transported to the hospital where his injuries were unknown at this time. The shooter has been identified but we're still in the early stages of the investigation trying to determine the cause of the shooting.”
