Home destroyed by fire in Glade community of Jones County

JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - This is a news release from Jones County Fire Council

 According to Linda Cranford/Jones County Fire Council PIO,  Early Sunday morning, October 26, a home in the Glade community of Jones County was destroyed by fire. At 6:55 a.m., fire units from Glade, Powers, and M&M Volunteer Fire Departments were dispatched to 871 Highway 15 South.  Upon arrival, firefighters found the home fully involved in flames and the roof collapsing. The occupants of the home were able to escape the fire.  The identity of the owner and/or occupants is unknown at this time, as they left the premises while firefighters were fighting the fire. The cause of the fire is also unknown, and remains under investigation by the Jones County Sheriff's Department. Firefighters remained on scene for over two hours performing fire suppression and overhaul operations.
