Injuries are a part of the game, but when it affects your starting quarterback, you want to be careful on how you handle the situation.
Golden Eagles signal caller Nick Mullens went down with a foot injury after the first offensive series in the team's 31-20 loss to Louisiana Tech.
"He's going to get evaluated today," said head coach Todd Monken. "We knew he couldn't go Saturday, so we'll have more as the week goes on. We're hopeful to have him."
At the team's press conference Monday, Monken gave an update on the status of the sophomore.
"The x-rays themselves were negative Saturday, but he just couldn't push off of it. He's got some swelling there. We've got to do some further evaluation to see where we're going to be with him and like I said, we'll know more tomorrow."
