Walthal County man sentenced in a molestation case

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

 A Walthal County man was sentenced last week on a molestation charge.

Billy Ray Dunaway was arrested in January of this year and charged with the molestation of a 10-year-old girl. In court he entered a guilty plea. and was sentenced to 10-years in prison, with eight-years-suspended. He will have to serve five-years-of post release supervision. He was also fined $3000 and ordered to pay $500 to the Mississippi Justice Center.

Dunaway will also have to register as a sex offender.
