ZooBoo brings spooky fun to Hattiesburg Zoo

ZooBoo at the Hattiesburg Zoo promises spine-tingling, safe fun for all ages.

The annual event kicks off Friday, October 24th, and runs through Halloween night from 5:30pm to 8pm each night. Tickets cost $8 per person.

"It's definitely a family-friendly event," said Kelly Ellis, zoo operations manager, "There's something for everybody."

The Monster Mash Dance Party will return this year along with the Creepy Cafe, trick-or-treat bingo, and Halloween-themed animal wildlife show. A haunted train ride will be offered as well as a spooky spin around the carousel.

ZooBoo typically attracts between 1000 and 1200 people each night. Each year the zoo adds more decorations and games, and this year promises to be the best yet.

Kids are encouraged to wear their costumes and take part in a costume parade that will conclude each night.

"We're excited," said Ellis. "We're gearing up for a fun time."
