Oak Grove quarterback Cam Myers could not have picked a bigger game in which to shine. The senior accounted for over 300 yards and six touchdowns against the Warriors' rival Petal.
However, a humble Myers says he had plenty of help. " It feels good but it was all a team effort. I couldn't have done anything without them (his teammates) so I give all the glory to them."
With Myers big performance and the Warriors win on Friday, Oak Grove is now 5-0. Head coach Nevil Barr, who led the Warriors to a 6A state title last year, says this team has a chance to be something special. "This was a young team starting the year, a lot of new players but they've played hard, played together. I think these guys really love each other and I think if they continue to work and continue to stay healthy we've got a chance to have a good football team."
The unbeaten Warriors will face Meridian at home on Friday.
