Grant Hedgepeth on the campaign trail for circuit court judge

Circuit Court Judge candidate Grant Hedgepeth was out on the campaign trail Friday.

One of his stops took him to Mak's Convenience Store in Eastabuchie for a meet and greet. Hedgepeth is running for circuit court judge in District 18 where he is facing off against incumbent Billy Joe Landrum, former Jones County Assistant District Attorney J. Ronald Parrish, and Dal Williamson.

Hedgepeth has 27-years experience in both prosecuting and defending cases. He is a former district attorney and was a special assistant to the attorney general in the consumer protection division.

"We have not had a a contested election for  circuit court judge since 1962," said Hedgepeth. "This is a chance for the people of Jones County to vote somebody with true qualifications in. We've got a lot of people who need to get into the system to have their cases heard in a timely matter and I know how to do that.

Voters go to the polls Nov. 4.
