Saints humbled, but not hopeless after 1-3 start

METAIRIE, La. (AP) - New Orleans Saints outside linebacker Junior Galette says he and his teammates "have to be realistic and know" that they're not as good as they thought they were.

Galette says the Saints need to improve drastically during their final 12 games, and there doesn't seem to be a player of coach on the club who's inclined to disagree.

Following Sunday night's 38-17 loss at Dallas, the Saints have lost three of their first four games and are a long way from their expected contender status.

Coach Sean Payton says the Saints at present have myriad areas of concern related to their offense, defense, special teams, preparation and coaching.

Payton says the Saints need to be better in all of those areas before hosting Tampa Bay this Sunday.
