15 narcotics arrests in Wayne County

WAYNE COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

A 3 month long operation has led the Wayne County Sheriff's Department to numerous arrests.

Operation Join Forces concluded Monday with 15 narcotics sale arrests. The sheriff's department began serving arrest warrants at 4 a.m. and still has five more to serve.

"We hope to have those in custody by the end of the week," said Investigator Kevin Stevens.

Aside from narcotics, firearms and vehicles were also seized during the roundup.

"This operation was successful due to the cooperation of the Board of Supervisors, the sheriff's, deputies, investigators, citizens of Wayne County as well as the Wayne County patrol and ROCIC," said Investigator Stevens. 

All individuals are scheduled to have their initial appearance Tuesday. Below are their names and their charges provided by the department.

Gary Dunn – Sale of Methamphetamine within 1500 feet of school and church
Possession of Methamphetamine with intent to distribute
Possession of Ecstasy

Ethen Brekeen – Sale of Methamphetamine
Possession of Methamphetamine

Mitchell Hartley – Sale of Methamphetamine within 1500 feet of a school

Jeff Gardner – Sale of Methamphetamine within 1500 feet of a church
Sale of Hydrocodone within 1500 feet of a school
Sale of Xanax within 1500 feet of a church

Ollie Lee Felps – Sale of Hydrocodone within 1500

Tony Curtis Taylor – Sale of Hydrocodone within 1500 feet of church
Sale of Zanaflex within 1500 feet of a church

Kentrell Hopkins – Sale of Cocaine within 1500 feet of a church
Possession of more than 30 grams of Marijuana with intent to distribute

Latonya Hopkins – Sale of Hydrocodone 2 counts
Sale of Xanax 2 counts

Justin Lamont Roberts – Sale of Cocaine within 1500 feet of a church
Sale of Cocaine

Mary Reynolds – Sale of Methamphetamine within 1500 feet of a church

Brian Pope – Sale of Methamphetamine within 1500 feet
Sale of Methamphetamine within 1500 feet

Christina McCarty – Conspiracy to sell Hydrocodone

Jason Gandy – Conspiracy to sell Ecstasy

Curtis Richey – Sale of Methamphetamine
