HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Dozens of educators from across South Mississippi were at the Lake Terrace Convention Center in Hattiesburg Thursday for an annual seminar designed to help improve libraries in the state's schools.
The Hub City was the fourth and final location this week for the LAMP (Library and Media Professionals) workshop series.
The focus of this year's event was integrating technology and Common Core.
More than 200 librarians and teachers attended sessions on topics such as "Free Tools for the Interactive Classroom" and "Google Apps Meet Common Core."
The LAMP workshops were also held in Tupelo, Batesville and Pearl.
