WCU president elected chairman-elect of CGE

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

William Carey University President Dr. Tommy King has been elected chairman-elect of the Consortium for Global Education, a nonprofit organization committed to quality programs of international education.

Dr. King's election occurred during the consortium's 27th annual meeting September 17-19 at Baylor University in Waco, Texas.

The consortium, founded in 1987, works to internationalize higher education through student and faculty global participation. Members of the consortium are located in 22 states, with affiliate members representing key national universities throughout the world.
