RAYMOND, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

An inmate from the Raymond Detention Center has been taken to the hospital after testing positive for drugs.

It happened Friday morning, according to the Hinds County Sheriff's Office.

We're still working to get more information about the situation.

We've heard reports the inmate might have overdosed on the drug called "spice," but that is not confirmed right now.

We do know that the inmate had just returned from an offsite work detail.

We'll update the story with new information as soon as we can.
