MONTREAL (RNN) – One Canadian repeat offender has no qualms about being in jail – in fact he seemed proud in several pictures he posted on Facebook with contraband items.

According to various Canadian news reports, Michael Simoneau-Meunier, a 15-time offender awaiting a robbery sentence, has been photographing himself in his jail cell.

In images posted to his Facebook on Wednesday, Simoneau-Meunier posted photos of himself with what appears to be a weed cigar and a bottle of Remy Martin Cognac X.o. (a $223 bottle of liquor). The post is captioned, saying: “Xo and blunt living da jail life.”

Other photos Simoneau-Menunier has posted include photos of himself and his muscular physique. There is no word on how he retrieved his contraband.

Bordeaux jail officials have not commented on the photos, and the Department of Public Safety in Quebec told the Journal de Montreal they have “zero tolerance for alcohol, drugs, tobacco or cell [phones]” in their facilities.

The newspaper reported between 2007 and 2013, officers seized 567 cell phones from inmates at the jail.

The Bordeaux jail has had its fair share problems recently: in 2013, a video surfaced of inmates cooking crack cocaine in their jail cells. Gang-related violence, riots and other issues have marred the prison, first opened in 1912.
