A poker run is raising money for the Worth County Sheriff's Office.

Dozens of motorcycle riders and other South Georgia organizations came out to show their support.. They rode 50 miles from Fatboys BBQ in Sylvester to Southern Woods Plantation. Worth County Sheriff Jeff Hobby says he's grateful for the support.

"It makes me feel good, it makes me feel like we're doing our jobs and people coming out to support the Sheriff's office,” said Worth County Sheriff Jeff Hobby. “I mean that's the support that we need. We need the support of the community."

The proceeds will help the Sheriff's office buy equipment, including flashlights, tasers, and gun belts.
