Petal earns safest city honors for second time

PETAL, MS (WDAM) -

For the second time in three-months the city of Petal has earned safest city in Mississippi honors.

Safe Choice Security News, a Home Security news blog, compared FBI crime statistics from 100 cities from across the state to come up with a list of the 14 safest cities in the state. The comparison includes both violent and non-violent crimes.

Safe Choice said Petal was selected because of the dedication the police department combines with the skill of its trained police force and the support they get from concerned citizens in the community.
