Petal man behind bars for multiple charges

PETAL, MS (WDAM) -

This is a news release from the Petal Police Department

Net Metro Narcotics and Petal Police Department arrested a Petal man on a felony warrant for conspiracy to sell a controlled substance and several other misdemeanor warrants on Thursday. 

John Winters was transported to the Forrest County Jail where he awaits an initial appearance.

    A new Mississippi State Auditor was sworn into office Tuesday morning at the State Capitol. Shad White, 32, replaces Stacey Pickering, who resigned the elected office to head the state Veterans Affairs Board.

    Longtime Hattiesburg attorney John Lee Jr. was sentenced Tuesday to six months in jail and a year of probation for filing a false statement on an income tax return.
