Jones County Assistant District Attorney resigns

JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

Jones County Assistant District Attorney J. Ronald Parrish announced Thursday that he is resigning.

Parrish said he is devoting the next two months to his Circuit Court Judge campaign.

He said he enjoyed his almost 11 years serving as assistant district attorney and hopes to continue putting criminals where they belong as Jones County Circuit Court Judge.

Parrish's resignation will be effective August 31. He said the only thing he will be taking from his office is Victoria Viner's photograph, the two-year-old girl he said he gave justice to in July.
