Burglary and grand larceny suspect captured

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

The search is over for a Hattiesburg man allegedly involved in a burglary and grand larceny incident.

Larry Waldon was taken into custody by Hattiesburg police in the1000 block of Main Street after a traffic stop of a stolen vehicle.

Waldon waswanted in connection with the crime that happened in the 100 block of North 32 Ave.

According to a police report, Waldon entered an apartmentwindow while the victim was still inside, stole belongings and a car which waslater found.

Waldon is currently booked into the Forrest County jail and ischarged with residential burglary and two counts of auto grand larceny.

    A new Mississippi State Auditor was sworn into office Tuesday morning at the State Capitol. Shad White, 32, replaces Stacey Pickering, who resigned the elected office to head the state Veterans Affairs Board.
