Fundraiser to help Purvis High School football program

PURVIS, MS (WDAM) - The Purvis Touchdown Club is holding a fundraiser for the high schools football program Friday.

The team's field house and most of their football equipment were destroyed in a fire last Saturday. Head coach Perry Wheat says it's been a tough week for the team, but the outpouring of support from the community and other area coaches has been great

The fundraiser will be held at the high school in front of the auditorium. Mugshots of Hattiesburg will be there from 10 a.m. to1:30 p.m and again from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. serving up their famous Mugshots hamburger, chips, and a drink for $10. Tickets are available at the high school main office. All proceeds got toward the school's building fund to help them get a new facility.
