Mississippi National Guard partners with JCJC

JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - JCJC has become the first junior college in the state to offer the ROTC Magnolia Gold Program.

Jones County Junior College President Jesse Smith and Mississippi Adjutant General Augustus Collins signed the agreement Monday.

The National Guard will now offer a Guard Officer Leadership Development Program at JCJC. Students will be able to take ROTC classes and transfer those to a university in the state if they choose to remain in the program.

So far 12 student are enrolled in the Magnolia Gold Program.
