HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

A Hattiesburg organization which helps the homeless got some help itself Thursday night, in the form of a major fund raiser hosted by Leadership Pinebelt.

The Field House for the Homeless was the beneficiary of a silent auction at Brewsky's.

It was hosted by a group called, Building Toward Home, which is a sub-group of the Area Development Partnership's Leadership Pinebelt class of 2014.

"They help people get off the streets, find homes, find jobs, help them anyway they need help, really," said Mary Margaret Turner, a member of Leadership Pinebelt.

The Field House for the Homeless is celebrating it's one year anniversary this month.
