Boil water notice remains for city of Waynesboro

WAYNESBORO, MS (WDAM) - A boil water notice is in effect in the city of Waynesboro. According to the Mississippi Department of Health, water sampling showed the presence of Total Coliform and E. Coli bacteria.

Shawn Dunlap with the Waynesboro Water Department said citizens are urged to boil water rapidly before consumption.

This affects approximately 5,050 people in the area.
