Troopers ask for tips in deadly Cullman Co. hit and run

CULLMAN COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

Alabama State Troopers need your help to solve a deadly hit and run in Cullman County.

Seventy-two-year-old Ervin Lane was killed on August 3 in a two-vehicle accident on State Highway 157. One driver left the scene.

Troopers believe the vehicle may be a 1999 or 2006 GMC or Chevy regular cab pickup, silver or pewter in color.

The vehicle will have damage to the driver's side rear area and may be in the area of Addison, Alabama.

    After losing the first two games of the season by a combined five points, Collins has won 12 consecutive games to advance to the class 2A South State title. The Tigers (12-2) defeated Bay Springs 22-8 on Friday to advance to a south state matchup against Taylorsville (13-1). Collins scored twice in the fourth quarter to overcome the Bulldogs on the road. "I feel great," said Collins head coach Eric Booth, a former USM running back.
