18-wheeler crushes cars, driver hospitalized

RAINSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

An 18-wheeler slammed into a tire store in Rainsville Wednesday afternoon, leaving destruction in its wake.

It happened at Rainsville Tire on Highway 35 before 3 p.m.

According to witnesses at the scene, though the truck did severely smash into and crush other vehicles, no one was occupying them at the time.

The truck driver was taken to the hospital. His condition has not been released.
