EL PASO, TX (WSFA) -

A Montgomery man is dead following a roll-over vehicle crash in Texas, NBC affiliate KTSM in El Paso reports.

The TV station cites the Texas Department of Public Safety in confirming the victim's name as James Bethune, Jr., 76.

Bethune was killed in a crash on Interstate 10 in Sierra Blanca around 3:40 a.m. That's near the U.S. and Mexico border.

The driver, 43-year-old Dawn Bethune Robinson, of Oceanside, California, apparently drifted off the road and overcorrected. The van she was driving rolled twice, the report says.

Police told KTSM that the James Bethune, Jr. was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.

Five children, all properly restrained with seatbelts, were transported to an El Paso hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
