Teens charged with possession of spice, liquor

DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

Decatur police arrested two teenagers accused of possessing synthetic marijuana as well as liquor.

It happened early Saturday morning when officers stopped a speeding vehicle on Day Road.

Officers said both teens, driver Ryan Perkins and passenger Jada Crittendon, were found with the synthetic drug, commonly known as spice, along with alcoholic beverages and drug paraphernalia.

Perkins was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, minor in possession of liquor, driving while suspended and multiple lanes.

Crittendon was charged with possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, and minor in possession of liquor.

The teens were booked without incident at the Decatur City Jail. They will later be transferred to the Morgan County Jail.
