ABC board agents locate moonshine still, marijuana plants

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

The ABC Board's Moonshine Task Force says a still in Montgomery County and several marijuana plants in Clay County have been destroyed.

According to a release from the ABC board, agents seized the contents from the illegal moonshine still, located in Hopehull, Wednesday afternoon.

The marijuana plants were spotted by the Alabama Department of Public Safety's Aviation Unit. DPS's ERAD Unit, Clay County Sheriff Deputies and the task force were able to locate the plants and cut them down.

No arrests have been made in either case and no additional information is being released as the investigation continues.
