'Calling All Dawgs' event hosted by Laurel Country Club

The Mississippi State fan base stretches far and wide across the South, but you don't have to go too far to find several Bulldog faithful in the Pine Belt.

The Laurel Country Club hosted the Calling All Dawgs event and several fans from around the area packed the clubhouse to see and hear from former MSU players and coaches.

State's Director of Player Personnel and former head coach Rockey Felker, spoke to fans about the upcoming season and what they should expect when the Bulldogs face Southern Miss to open the season.

"Anytime you play an in-state game it's a big rivalry. I've been part of quite a few Mississippi State-Southern [Miss] games over the years and it's a big game for both schools."

Kickoff between MSU and USM is August 30 at 6:30 p.m. and can be seen on the SEC Network.
