Ellisville couple charged with child molestation

ELLISVILLE, MS (WDAM) -

An Ellisville couple are charged with molesting their 6-year old relative.

Ellisville Police say the couple were arrested on July 22nd and made their initial appearance on Friday, July 25.

Charles Cupit and Tina Michelle Cupit were arrested at their home on Carter Street in Ellisville following the allegations.

Judge David Lyons set bond for Charles Cupit at $25,000 and charging him with Molesting-Touching A Child For Lustful Purposes.

Tina Micelle Cupit was charged with child-welfare neglect and Accessory

After The Fact for knowing about the crime and not reporting it. Her bond was set at $30,000. The incident is still being investigated by the Ellisville Police Department.

    After losing the first two games of the season by a combined five points, Collins has won 12 consecutive games to advance to the class 2A South State title. The Tigers (12-2) defeated Bay Springs 22-8 on Friday to advance to a south state matchup against Taylorsville (13-1). Collins scored twice in the fourth quarter to overcome the Bulldogs on the road. "I feel great," said Collins head coach Eric Booth, a former USM running back.
