TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Tyler police are seeking help identifying and locating a suspect involved in a robbery on Sunday morning.

Police responded to a call in the 1500 block of Loop 323 at the Family Dollar store. Officers spoke with an employee of the store, along with a witness.

The employee said that a black male, around 6' tall, wearing a black jacket, green shirt and jeans, entered the store and demanded money from the register at 9:40 a.m.

“Suddenly he just walked in stood about right here and said give me all the money or I’m going to bust a cap on you,” said Erica Cruz, Family Dollar cashier.

They said the suspect was covering his face with his shirt, and never showed a weapon.

“I was all nervous trying to open it and I get the money out and he’s like open the bottom part give me everything in the bottom. So he reaches out throws everything on the floor to make sure nothing was at the bottom and that’s when I gave him the money and he snatched the money and ran out,” Cruz said.

After taking the money from the register, the suspect fled on foot.

“It happened really fast I think less than five minutes, “ Cruz said.
