JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The MS senate election legal drama continued on Wednesday with both Chris McDaniel's supporters and Senator Thad Cochrane's camp holding press conferences to address the latest details.

Early in the afternoon two members of McDaniel's legal team, Mitch Tyner and Michael Watson, spoke to the crowd. McDaniels was not present.

Watson said it is not an official election challenge right now and that they are only doing a full election review.

He said that they are "looking under the hood" of the Mississippi election process.

Watson said a candidate has a right to review an election and a duty to ensure the checks and balances of the process.

McDaniel's legal team said there's not a vote threshold for a challenge. They believe they only have to prove there is doubt in the integrity of the election.

We've already learned McDaniel is taking 19 circuit clerks to court.

Certified election returns have Senator Thad Cochran winning the Republican senate run-off by about 76-hundred votes.

Mitch Tyner says they're hoping for a Supreme Court ruling rather than fighting it in every single county.

Tyner said 4 motions have been heard in court so far. In each of those, the judge said they should have access. Only one said that they had to pay.

He said he is proud of McDaniel for not throwing in the towel.

A few hours later, the Cochran camp held their own press conference.

Austin Barbour, a Cochran campaign adviser, responded to a few of the issues mentioned in the McDaniel presser.

He said even McDaniel supporters are ready to move on to November.

He also said they've provided county by county election results, saying it is the most extensive review in Mississippi history.

Barbour said the McDaniel camp is not providing proof of their claims and contradicting themselves.

He said McDaniel's camp was happy with the system when they won on June 3rd, but unhappy with the same system when they lost on June 24th.

As of today, the Cochran campaign says they will step away from this "circus" and focus on November.
