JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The investigation continues on Wednesday into the murder of 67-year-old Helen Harrion.

Detectives say they have found more clues at the crime scene.

The coroner says Harrion's autopsy showed that she was strangled and shot in the face and suffered blunt force trauma. Her neck was also broken.

Her daughter believes she died struggling with people who were breaking into her home, or had broken into her home.

The coroner says Harrion was found dead on Tuesday by family members next to her home.

Jackson police confirm they received a 911 call from the home at 3:23am on Tuesday about a prowler.

They are pulling 911 tapes and records to determine what happened when officers responded.

Family members initially called police when they found blood at the home, but couldn't find her.

The murder took place in the BelAir Subdivision of west Jackson, where neighbors say Harrion was always friendly.

"Mrs. Harrion was a beautiful person," said neighbor and friend Cozetta Jiles. "She didn't bother nobody, she would mind her own business. Anything she could do for you, she would do for you. I just can't see nobody hurting that lady. I really can't see nobody. We live around here in this neighborhood, somebody knows something."
