MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO/CNN) – A hand-made sign led to a musical milestone for a Minneapolis boy.

Dylan Spoering, 8, put up a sign in his front yard a few days ago.

“This is what I always wanted for, a big concert like this,” Dylan said.

A neighbor saw the sign and put the information on social media.

"There was a sign in the front yard, and I took a photo of it, put it on Facebook, and somehow it turned into this crazy viral thing," neighbor Thomas Rehbein said.

By show time on Saturday, more than 400 people showed up to hear Dylan play his piano.

"I just wanted to play for people, just wanted to play for free and now I'm famous," Dylan said. "So I'm famous for having a free concert, and having all these people come."

Despite the rain that fell on the neighbors, Dylan’s piano playing gained him several new fans.

"Thank you for all you guys coming, my name is Dylan Spoering," Dylan said to his fans.
