HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

A longtime Hattiesburg business was destroyed by fire Friday night. Killingsworth's Lunchroom on Country Club Road went up in flames about 7 o'clock.

The fire also did heavy damage to a barber shop connected to it.

Both businesses are owned by Charles Killingsworth, who's been doing business there for 30 years.

He said the lunchroom stopped serving food around 4 p.m. and said one of his employees noticed the blaze and called the fire department.

No one connected with the business was hurt, but there were some unconfirmed reports that one of the firefighters may have been treated for smoke inhalation.
