Boehner expects House to OK immigration measure

WASHINGTON, DC (NBC) - President Barack Obama lashed out at Congressional Republicans on Thursday calling them hypocritical for blaming him for the border crisis while refusing to vote on an immigration reform bill that has already passed the Senate.

The remarks came as Obama spoke before an enthusiastic audience in Austin, TX.

Meanwhile, GOP House Speaker John Boehner emphatically blamed Obama for the surge of young, unaccompanied Central American immigrants arriving at the U.S. border.

Speaking to reporters, Boehner said he expects the House to approve some form of emergency legislation this month to help deal with the crisis, but added that Obama won't get a "blank check" on his $3.7 billion request.
