3 arrested for Jefferson Parish pizza delivery robberies

JEFFERSON PARISH, LA (WVUE) -

Jefferson Parish detectives have arrested three men for allegedly robbing pizza delivery drivers.

Dashawn Tillman, 17, and Tahj Boatman, 16, were both arrested for the robberies. Both Tillman and Boatman confessed to the crimes earlier in the week.

On Wednesday, 20-year-old Damani Wells was also arrested in New Sarpy by the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Deputies and was transported to the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center.

According to police, the first incident happened Friday June 13 at 10 p.m. A 39-year-old driver was robbed in the 3400 block of Virginia Drive.

She was approached by three men and punched in the head prior to having the pizza taken from her.

The second occurred Monday June 23 at 10 p.m. in the 3500 block of North Arnoult Road. The 20-year-old victim was approached by three men and punched in the head.

    The University of Southern Mississippi ended Saturday’s regular-season baseball finale at Marshall University the same way it started, with a bang. The 18th-ranked Golden Eagles sent 13 batters to the plate in both the second and ninth innings, scoring eight runs in each, as USM finished off a first-ever sweep of the Thundering Herd on its home turf with a 18-9 victory at Epling Stadium.
