NOPD seeks public's help in cold-case murder from 2009

JEFFERSON PARISH, LA (WVUE) -

Police are asking for the public's help in a cold homicide case from 2009.

On July 4 at about 3:47 a.m., Derek Leblanc was found shot to death inside a car at the intersection of Newman Avenue and Jefferson Highway.

Police have no leads or suspects in the case. A reward of as much as $5,000 is being offered for tips that lead to an arrest and indictment. Tipsters can call Crimestoppers anonymously at (504) 822-1111. You do not have to testify in court in order to receive the reward.
