JC woman claims to be 16, taken to Niswonger's Children's Hospital

Posted: Updated:
Johnson City Police Department officers arrested a 27 year-old Monday, after she claimed to be 16 years old and was taken to a local children's hospital.

On Sunday evening, officers responded to a call made by Alana C. Lee, who gave dispatchers a false name and told officers she was 16 years old. She told officers she was dropped off at the apartment complex by three unknown males who stole her purse and cell phone.

Lee was taken to Johnson City Medical Center’s Niswonger Children’s Hospital for a medical evaluation, where it was revealed that Lee was 27 years old.

Lee was charged with false reporting and was arrested.

She was taken to the Washington County Detention Center, where she was being held on $3,000 bond.

Lee was scheduled to appear in Sessions Court for her arraignment Monday at 1:30 p.m.
