WORCESTER, ENGLAND (WAVE) - Photos of an aspiring British model wearing little more than a bikini are going viral.

She's also sporting some tattoos, but those aren't why Bethany Townsend's pictures are so popular.

It's the colostomy bags.

The 23-year-old from Worcester, England, told The Daily Mail this week that last year her Crohn's Disease symptoms were too much for her to continue to pursue her dream of becoming a model.

But during a Christmas trip to Mexico with her husband, she posed for the bikini photos while wearing two colostomy bags.

This year, Townsend sent the photo to Crohn’s and Colitis UK, a nonprofit that works to improve the quality of life for Crohn’s patients, The Daily Mail reported.

The organization posted the photo on Facebook recently and more than 220,000 users have liked it. The post has been shared nearly 18,000 times and more than 12,000 people have commented on it, including Townsend herself.

"Wow reading all these comments is truly amazing," she wrote. "Thank you so much for all your support and taking the time to read this. Hoping for a cure and one day it WILL happen x."

Added another commenter, Tara Paul: "To be honest, the first thing I noticed were your amazing tattoos and how beautiful you are. The bag was only the 3rd thing I noticed."
