Wife charged with murder in connection to husband's stabbing

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A Nashville woman has been charged with first-degree murder in connection to the stabbing death of her husband.

Sandra Barnette Hardimon was arrested on Monday afternoon.

Police say her husband, 54-year-old Clifton Hardimon, died from multiple stab wounds inside a bedroom at their home on Sunnyview Drive.

Sandra Hardimon allegedly called police to report the stabbing on May 4. Officers say she told them that she and her husband had been arguing.

Police say Sandra Hardimon has a violent history and has prior convictions for attempted second-degree murder in 1999 and multiple assault counts in the 1980s and 1990s.
