Hinds GOP Chairman Pete Perry arrested

LEAKE COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

We've received confirmation that Hinds County GOP Chairman Pete Perry was arrested Saturday night.

The Leake County Sheriff's Department confirmed Perry was arrested around 8:30 p.m. Saturday in Carthage and charged with DUI and speeding.

Carthage Police Department made the arrest.

The Associated Press says Perry was released on bond from the county jail at 10:59 p.m. on Saturday.

Perry lives in Jackson. He is from Leake County.
