LAWRENCEVILLE, GA (CBS46) -

Former Georgia Tech football player Recardo Wimbush and his wife Therian appeared for their first court appearance, Saturday.

The couple is accused of locking their son in a basement for nearly two years.

A judge told both parents it will be July 10 before their lawyers can request a bond at a preliminary hearing.

The couple told child services the child took a family DVD player and did not tell the truth about what he had done.

The parents also claim the teen molested three of his younger siblings. They have nine other children.
