Hattiesburg man in custody for lustful touching

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

A Hattiesburg man is behind bars in connection with lustful touching of a child under the age of 16. Hattiesburg Police with the help of the US Marshall's Task Force apprehended Devante Sansom Wednesday in connection with the alleged crime.

According to a Hattiesburg Police incident report, the detective division was notified by a Mississippi DHS investigator who uncovered information that the victim, who advised her sister's boyfriend, later identified as Sansom, had touched her several times at their house where she was living with them. The report also stated, all of the alleged incidents occurred in Hattiesburg.

According to the report, the evidence that was collected a warrant was issued for the arrest of Sansom.

The investigation is ongoing.
