The plight of animals is a pitiful one indeed for not only are they doomed to be considered a food source by humanity but there is also a fact that a huge majority of them are being slowly driven into extinction by humanitys constant encroachment upon their habitats. In author Keiran McCarthys new book The Odyssey for Arznel, the story revolves around a band of animals and their struggle to overthrow humanitys tyranny.
This highly engrossing tale is sequel to the authors first book Looking for Lough Ine. It follows a band of animals and their quest to find Arznel the great tiger. For there is a legend among the animals that long ago, a great tiger, known as Arznel, led an uprising against the humans, in a bid to save the world from destruction. But Arznel was defeated, captured and never seen again. Yet hope remains, that one day he will be free, and the great revolution can begin anew. This imaginative work boasts of a cast of memorable characters and an impressive plotline.
The Odyssey for Arznel is a great read that is reminiscent of George Orwells Animal Farm where the animals seeing the corruption mankind has brought to the world rally together to make a better one.
